Our Approach
The Jascha Stockholm design team takes great pride in sourcing high-end fabrics and production in Europe. The goal is to produce sustainable, long-lasting clothes that becomes personal favorites for the people that choose to wear Jascha Stockholm. Working with selected, well-proven, materials is a core part of Jascha Stockholm's design values. Nothing is more sustainable than garments that does not have to be replaced every season.
We recognize that, though our actions and priorities we can influence and have a positive impact on the choices of the people who choose to wear Jascha Stockholm garments. We acknowledge the fact that the fashion industry which we are a part of has a negative input on the environment. According to the World Economic Forum the fashion industry produces 10% of all humanity's carbon emissions and is the second-largest consumer of the world's water supply.
Jascha Stockholm also acknowledges the fact that we are not born a sustainable fashion brand. We are going to become a more sustainable brand.
The underlying challenge is that there is no industry-wide definition of what makes a product ”sustainable”. Thus, brands like Jascha Stockholm need to rely on a wide range of sustainability third-party certifications and standards to enable our customers to make more sustainable choices.
As for now - We are far from perfect. But we are striving to get better and develop our collections to enable our customers to make more well-informed and sustainable choices.
Jascha Stockholm has set up a timeline in order to become a more sustainable brand. Our goal is to replace all our materials with more sustainable options in accordance with the HIGG´s Material Sustainability Index by 2025.
By the end of 2023, we will replace 50% of our materials with more sustainable options. By the end of the year, 100% of our packaging will be replaced with renewable and recycled options.
In 2024 75% of our materials will be replaced by more sustainable options.
In 2025 - By the end of this year, 100% of our materials will be replaced with more sustainable options as well as the implementation of a system for traceability of our supply chain.
